Free Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence and child sexual abuse training
Primary care is often the first point of contact for people affected by domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) and child sexual abuse due to the physical injuries and mental health issues that result from abuse. Primary care have an important role to play in addressing domestic, family and sexual violence and helping survivors access services.
We are one of 11 PHN’s nationally funded to implement the Domestic, Family and Sexual Program pilot program designed to improve the primary healthcare response for those experiencing, or at risk of domestic and family violence, sexual violence and child sexula abuse. The program is designed as a ‘whole of practice’ approach to improve referral pathways between practices and DFSV services.
